Who should take the 56-Hour Basic Course?
Take the 56-hour Basic if you’re new to FPS/GSA federal contract work or your employer/site requires proof of the full basic training for assignment.
Who should take the 36-Hour Refresher?
Take the 36-hour Refresher if you’ve already completed the FPS (GSA) Basic course and need to renew/refresh required training for continued federal facility work.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. Students who meet attendance and course requirements receive a certificate of completion for the course taken.
Is there a test?
Most programs include knowledge checks and/or a final assessment. Students must meet course requirements to receive completion documentation.
What do I need to bring?

- Notebook and pen
- Comfortable uniform-style attire (or business casual if specified)
- Prior training certificates (recommended for Refresher students)
How long is the training?
